Kicking

Today I felt the baby kick a couple of times when I put my hand on Dallas' belly. It was neat. It seems kind of early to be feeling that, but maybe not. Or maybe he's just a strong little fella. Maybe he'll be a soccer player, or a karate guy.

We cleaned out the basement yesterday so we can get started on finishing it. Brenda and Troy came over and helped us. We got it done pretty fast, so that's good. I'm glad they could come and help us. I couldn't have moved all the heavy stuff by myself, and Dallas can't really lift much. So yeah, we really appreciate the help. I started drawing up plans last night. It will be nice when we can get it done.

Some Stuff

Here are a couple of pictures of my belly. I'm five and half months along now. Jason and me think I look more pregnant in person. I don't know why it doesn't look as big in pictures. It also seems it pokes out more depending on the time of day. I don't know if this is just because I'm bloated or if the baby is in a different position. I'm no expert, I just assume a lot. I've also been feeling the baby a lot this past week. I thought at first it was just gas, but I'm pretty sure now it's the baby moving. It's pretty exciting.

Also, our Plecto died. Jason had him for about three and a half years. He was a big guy. If you remember his name was Dallas' boyfriend. That was because he liked me. We started to notice that he was getting holes in his fins, but didn't really do anything about it. Then he developed an open sore on the top of his head, that looked pretty bad. Jason got some medicine for him, but he was too sick I guess. He will be missed. We have a new Plecto now and his name is Big Papi. That's a player for the Red Sox for those of you that don't know that. We have two other fish in the tank that are also named after Red Sox players, so we thought we would stick with the theme. He seems to be a good little cleaner.

And...We are done painting!! I am so excited about that. I still have to go through and get paint off hinges and door knobs, but that won't be too bad. It was such a huge project for us. I think it took us about two and half months(if you ask Jason he says forever). We really really hate to paint, I guess. I didn't have much experience with it before, but I know now I never want to do it again. It wouldn't have been so bad if we painted the ceiling and walls the same color. I haven't really been enjoying the way it looks because I hated doing it so bad, but the past couple of days I've actually looked at it and I think I like the way it looks. We wish we would have gone a little lighter on the moulding and doors, but we're not changing it, so it will have to do. Maybe will put some pictures on soon.

Castle Park

Monday after we picked up Ashley from school we went to Castle Park. That's what we call it anyway, I think it's just the West Jordan City Park. It's a fun park. It makes me wish I had something like that to play on when I was a kid. The girls seem to really enjoy it. Olivia gets really excited when you say we're going to Castle Park. Here's some pictures of our time spent there. I didn't really get good ones. I should have taken more of the structure of the Park, because there are a lot of neat things, but I didn't. It was also hard for me to get good ones of the girls because they were constantly in motion, and didn't want to hold still for me. One of Ashley's friends from school happened to be there, so they were playing tag.

Here's Now

This was taken yesterday. There's more of a pooch now. It doesn't look like much more then the other picture. Trust me though it is, I don't fit in most of my clothes.

Pregnant Dallas

Here is a picture of Dallas being pregnant. I took it a couple of weeks ago. She was barely showing. She is a little more poochy now. It's cute.

The genius of Livy

Olivia had her end-of-year testing for kindergarten on Monday, so we went with her. On the wall outside of her classroom they had a little assignment hanging up. Apparently they had some eggs in the classroom that they were trying to hatch. For their assignment they were supposed to write down what they thought was going to hatch out of the eggs. All of the other kids wrote down some sort of animal, mostly chickens. Olivia said ........ cookies. She guessed that cookies were going to hatch out of the eggs. And while that might seem like a silly answer at first, I think it is pretty smart. What would you want to hatch out of eggs? Some stupid animal? Why not cookies? It makes sense to me.

If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding.
How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?
