Our Anniversary

We had our 1-year anniversary on August 17th. We celebrated by going to Park City the next day and doing some shopping. We couldn't really think of anything else to do there, so we just took a drive around Midway/Heber City, then down Provo Canyon. Then we stopped at Cabelas just for fun. Then we ate dinner at Ruby River. Then we got some ice cream. Then we went to a movie. I think that's all. It was a fun day. For some reason I only took pictures in Cabelas and a couple at Ruby River. I don't know why.

This is Dall's sheep

This is us at Ruby River. Look at how clean Dallas keeps her plate and how messy mine is. Don't look at my face though, cause I don't know what that look is. Dallas says it's my "I'm full" face.

I can't believe how quick this last year passed. It seems like we just barely got married. I'm so glad that Dallas puts up with me. She is so fun to be with. I love her so much more now than I did a year ago (which was a lot too). She takes care of me and the girls, which is hard to do. I love spending time with her. Plus she's purdy.

Baby Stuff

My Grandma came over Monday to visit and bring us baby stuff that she made. She gave us a bunch of really neat stuff. She's really talented at making things. I have a lot of things that she's given me over the years that she's made that I've really enjoyed. She spoiled us and we can't wait to try the stuff out.

Hangers, washcloths, duckies, and an outfit.

2 hooded towels, bibs, and those burp pads.

Three quilts, and a few receiving blankets.

Happy Birthday Jason

It's Jason's Birthday! La la la. Happy Birthday honey. Jason turns 32 today. I can't believe how old the man I married is. I'm teasing. I think he is so great. Just look how handsome he is. I don't think he realizes how much I appreciate him in my life. I am so happy to be celebrating our one year anniversary in four days. I am so thankful for all he does. If I need help with something, whether it be around the house or anything, he'll always get up and help almost always with no complaint. I am also thankful for the patience he has for me, because I can be a pain sometimes. He's just wonderful and I love him with all my heart.

Basemento

We hired a dude to finish our basement. He gave us a bid that was less than half of the other bid that we got. He's going to start on Monday, and says it should take no more than 6 weeks. So we should have it done in time for the baby. We're excited. Yay.

Parade Of Homes

Jason and me went to the Parade Of Homes today. It was an all day thing for us. We started at 11:00 a.m. (which is when it began) and went til 8:37 p.m. We didn't even get to all of them either. There were some really nice ones, but none that we were completely blown away by. Last year we remembered there being more homes that we liked. There are still two more that are in Tooele that we are going to try to see, and maybe they'll blow us away. Both of them are just over one million dollars. The most expensive one we saw was 4.5 million, it had almost everything you could think of, but it just wasn't quite our style. It was a huge party house. It's fun looking at those insanely expensive homes, but they're just not practical. I enjoy the ones that I can actually see my self living in. It's enjoyable for us though all around. We'll probably try to go every year.

Stuff & Things

Dallas got me a new camera bag for an early birthday present. It's neat. She always gets me good stuff.

We finally got a new kitchen table. We have been looking for a while, but hadn't found one that we really liked. Well, we did find one at Ikea that we really liked, but it was too big. But then we found out that they had it in a smaller size too. So we got it.

We also got a stroller for the baby. It's a jogger stroller that is also a travel system (carseat and base included). We think it's nice, plus it's different from all of those boring strollers you usually see.

I got a calling at church. I am the Sunday School secretary. I think that's good for me. I can handle that.

We are going to the Parade of Homes tomorrow. I'm excited. I like looking at fancy houses.

Belly Update

Well, now I'm 6 1/2 months along. I have definitely grown quite a bit in the last month. I think I get bigger every day. I have mostly enjoyed being pregnant. I thought it would be hard and I'd be miserable. Maybe there's still time for that. Maybe if I had been sick at all I'd be singing a different tune. Really the only complaint I have is I wish I was getting more sleep at night. It seems like I'm awake for most of the night. I think Jason wishes I was getting more sleep at night too. He's not sleeping well either, and it's probably my fault. That's what he gets though for making me fat.

Liberty Park

Jason had to do engagement pictures for a couple on Sunday at Liberty Park, and since we also had to go up to Bountiful to get the girls from Mom and Dad Howell's, we all went to Liberty Park with Jason and we let the girls play. The girls weren't too interested in the playground they had. I got a few pictures of them on the equipment, but they only played about five minutes on it. They went straight for the water, then on to the dirt. They had a lot of fun playing in the mud and building stuff. It will be fun if we ever take them to a beach and we can actually build some really neat stuff. I didn't think something like that would hold their attention for so long. Anyway, here's some pic's I took at the park.

This is a teeter totter thing they had, it looked pretty fun.

Memories..Thanks Nicole..

Here is a fun little game...Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.On your mark...get set...blog your memories!!

Kicking

Today I felt the baby kick a couple of times when I put my hand on Dallas' belly. It was neat. It seems kind of early to be feeling that, but maybe not. Or maybe he's just a strong little fella. Maybe he'll be a soccer player, or a karate guy.

We cleaned out the basement yesterday so we can get started on finishing it. Brenda and Troy came over and helped us. We got it done pretty fast, so that's good. I'm glad they could come and help us. I couldn't have moved all the heavy stuff by myself, and Dallas can't really lift much. So yeah, we really appreciate the help. I started drawing up plans last night. It will be nice when we can get it done.
